Stuck on STEM (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the website (the “Service”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

Information Collection and Use

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address and your name. Explicit information collection is performed for the following service(s):

  • MailChimp Mailing List: We collect your email address in order to send you a newsletter containing information about updates to the website, the addition of new resources, commercial marketing, and other related news. Your data is stored by MailChimp, not by Stuck on STEM, and is only used by Stuck on STEM for the purpose specified. You can opt out at any time using the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any mailing list email you received from us, or you can contact us directly and request removal from the list.
  • Google Analytics with the Exact Metrics WordPress plugin: We collect and process anonymised data to help us understand how our users interact with our website, for the purpose of improving the user experience and making sure we are offering relevant and useful content. Your data is stored by Google, not Stuck on STEM, and is only used by Stuck on STEM for the purpose specified. These third party services have been set up to anonymise your IP address so your personal IP address is never written to disk, they support user opt-out, and exclude tracking for users sending a Do Not Track header. We do not assign any user IDs. If you would like to opt-out of Google Analytics data collection for all websites you can download Google’s browser plugin here.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

You are asked to accept the use of cookies on this website via the banner at the bottom of the screen that is displayed when you first visit, and can choose to accept or close the notice and decline. You can also instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

Read more about the specific cookies used by Stuck on STEM and manage your cookie preferences on our Cookies page.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, including providing up-to-date SSL certificates, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
